Available for scoping and custom development. The initial record-search experience is an internal preview. Customer activation requires configuration, compatibility checks and acceptance testing. The options below are not live self-service subscriptions.
What is an MCP connection?
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It provides a standard way for a compatible AI application to use specific tools and information made available by another system. Benchmark’s planned connection gives an approved AI client access to supported Benchmark tools under your company’s permissions.
For example, an authorized team member could ask a compatible AI client to find a saved estimate and return its source record. The initial connection is read-only. It does not automatically give an AI tool access to every business system or permission to change records.
CHOOSE WHAT FITS YOUR WORK
Three options to discuss.
01 / INTERNAL PREVIEW
Benchmark record search
Find authorized customer, project, saved estimate and contract records through the Benchmark interface, with source references and existing company, location and user permissions.
The first interface is record search. Open-ended AI conversation is a later enhancement.
02 / CONFIGURATION & TESTING REQUIRED
Connect your AI application
Add an optional read-only MCP connection for a compatible, approved AI client. We confirm client support, registration, sign-in, permitted tools and access before activation.
External AI subscriptions and usage are identified separately. Compatibility with a particular client is confirmed in your proposal.
03 / CUSTOM SCOPE & ROADMAP
Connect your workflow
Plan supported connections for CRM follow-up, appointments, Sales Rotation, payment status, customer portals, aftercare and re-engagement as the underlying applications become ready.
Record updates, task creation and message preparation are planned extensions with agreed review and approval steps. Inventory, scheduling or accounting integrations require their own feasibility review.
What Benchmark handles.
- Define the job: agree who uses the service, which records are needed and what success looks like.
- Configure access: identify supported connections, company and staff permissions, and any external accounts.
- Test the agreed scope: check allowed and denied access, source references and the customer’s real workflow.
- Orient your team: provide the agreed walkthrough and support information before activation.
Saved estimate values come from Benchmark’s protected calculation workflow. The initial service does not send messages, collect customer payments or change business records through AI.
Pricing determined by scope.
Your written proposal separates setup and configuration, selected connections, any recurring service, AI usage, hosting and support. It defines usage limits, training, acceptance criteria and additional-work approval. No fixed MCP package price has been set.
Business Assistant is optional and is not automatically included in another Benchmark subscription or the $99 Design Start fee. Existing customer agreements remain unchanged. Roadmap items are intended development, not available functions or delivery-date commitments.
New to the tools? Start with the task.
Tell us what information your team searches for or what repeated work slows you down. You do not need to understand MCP or write a technical specification. Your proposal defines the onboarding and support included for your team.
Designing a website first? Benchmark Design Start includes planned guided practice, one short orientation and a handoff review for $99, credited toward an approved build. Business connections and backend work are quoted separately.
Tell us what you want to connect.
Share the business task and names of the systems involved. We will review feasibility and scope before paid work begins. Do not include passwords or private customer records in your inquiry.
